Stuffed Pita Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
1/2 c. chopped green onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. oil
2 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 lb. lean ground meat
1/2 c. raisins
3 very ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped or 1 can tomatoes
1/2 tsp. oregano
salt and pepper
4 pita pockets
cheese slices
Preparation

Saute garlic, celery, green onion and green pepper in oil and margarine. Add ground meat; cook and stir until meat is browned. Drain. Add raisins, tomatoes and oregano. Cook until thick; season with salt and pepper. Stuff pita pockets and put slice of cheese on top. Broil until cheese is melted.
