Beggar'S Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 slices day-old cubed rye or pumpernickel
    1 1/2 c. apple cider
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 lb. peeled, sliced apples
    1/4 c. raisins
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Mix bread with enough cider to moisten and soften.
    Combine cinnamon, sugar and raisins in buttered 2-quart casserole.
    Cover with layer of bread cubes.
    Dot top with margarine.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
