Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    colored sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar gradually while creaming.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add vanilla extract.
    Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture; mix well.
    Wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight.
    Roll a small amount of dough at a time to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Cut out and decorate with colored sugar.
    Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
