Butterscotch Log - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
    1/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    slightly beaten egg white
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Melt butterscotch morsels over hot water (not boiling).
    Stir in the condensed milk and vanilla.
    Add chopped pecans; mix well. Chill until firm enough to handle.
    Form into 12-inch roll on waxed paper.
    Roll tightly in waxed paper; unroll and mark surface lengthwise with a fork.
    Now brush with egg white.
    Press pecans in the roll to completely cover surface.
    Wrap again in waxed paper.
    Chill completely.
    Cut it in 1/2-inch slices with a sharp knife.
    Makes about 2 dozen slices.
