Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 7 sweet potatoes
    1 Tbsp. crisco, (white or yellow)
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
Preparation
    Wash, peel, slice, and rinse potatoes. Melt crisco in large heavy skillet, place potatoes in skillet. Add salt, white sugar, cinnamon, and water. Cover and cook until tender. Add more water if needed. Add brown sugar and butter cover until sugar and butter melts. Take cover off and cook until water becomes a heavy syrup. Watch carefully, it will burn easily at this point.
