M&M'S Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. M&M's plain candies (3/4 lb. bag)
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients gradually to creamed mixture; mix well.
Stir in 1/2 cup M&M's; reserve remaining candy for decorating.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased baking sheet.
Decorate tops of cookies with remaining M&M's.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
