Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 large oranges (rind and juice to equal 1 1/2 c.)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. fresh milk
1/2 c. canned milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Mix fresh milk, canned milk and baking soda together.
Cream sugar and shortening; add orange juice, salt, milk, soda, baking powder and flour.
Add flour a cup at a time.
Mix until just holds shape.
(May not need all flour if oranges are small.)
Will still be a little sticky.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
