Cranberry-Orange Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg, beaten
grated rind and juice of 1 orange plus fresh or diluted frozen orange juice to make 3/4 c.
1 c. raw cranberries, cut in halves
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda. Mix in shortening thoroughly and orange rind and juice. Add beaten egg. Fold in cranberries. Pour into 9 x 5 x 3-inch greased loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 until toothpick stuck into center comes out clean, for 1 hour.
