Golden Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. evaporated milk
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat. Combine eggs and milk; stir into cornmeal mixture.
    Pour into a lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.
