Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 c. rolled oats
1 pkg. chocolate bits
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Blend shortening and peanut butter.
Cream with sugar.
Add eggs and mix.
Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
Stir in rolled oats, chocolate bits and vanilla.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
