Hearty Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 cans V-8 juice
2 large cans tomato paste
1 lb. hamburger
1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
2 medium green peppers
4 Tbsp. vinegar
2 basil leaves
2 cloves garlic
2 medium onions, diced
1 c. mushrooms (optional)
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. olive oil

Preparation

Start with large pot.
Add both cans V-8 juice, vinegar, basil and sugar.
Get large skillet with olive oil.
Heat until hot. Add onions, garlic, green peppers and hamburger.
Cook sausages in small skillet.
When done, drain sausages.
Dice up and add to large skillet.
When all is done, add to large pot.
Simmer for 75 minutes.
