Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/4 c. self-rising flour
3/4 c. self-rising corn meal
1 egg
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
milk or buttermilk

Preparation

Mix ingredients.
Use enough milk to make mixture fall off spoon.
Deep fry until golden brown.
