German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 potatoes
    10 slices bacon, cut in small pieces
    1 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    pinch of salt and pepper
    small onion, chopped
    4 hard-boiled eggs (optional)
Preparation
    Cook potatoes with the jacket on.
    Fry bacon crisp; remove from pan.
    Add water and vinegar; let simmer for a few minutes. Mix flour and sugar and add to water and vinegar mixture.
    Let simmer until sugar is dissolved.
    Peel and slice potatoes; add onion, salt and pepper.
    Pour dressing over potatoes while it is hot and serve potatoes warm.
