Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped apple
1/2 c. chopped dates
3/4 c. nuts
1 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. flour
Preparation

Boil raisins, dates and apple in the 1 cup water for 3 minutes.
Add shortening.
Cool.
Add the other ingredients. Chill.
Drop from teaspoon.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Store in refrigerator.
