Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts (leave skins on)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Use a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes; stir.
    Microwave for 4 more minutes on High.
    Add 1 teaspoon butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Microwave 2 minutes on High.
    Add 1 teaspoon baking soda; stir until light.
    Quickly spread on a greased cookie sheet.
    Let cool.
    Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
