Ginger Cut Outs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. ground ginger
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 egg
    3 c. sifted powdered sugar
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    2 to 3 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Stir together the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt; set aside.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine or butter for 30 seconds; add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg; beat well.
    Add the flour mixture; mix well. Cover and chill several hours or until easy to handle.
