Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. or 4 (1/2 oz.) bottles red food coloring
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted 3 times
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix together the red food coloring and instant cocoa and set aside.
Cream together the shortening and sugar.
Add the eggs and coloring paste.
Beat 10 minutes. Add the buttermilk and slowly add the flour, salt and vanilla.
Remove from mixer.
Lightly fold in 1 tablespoon vinegar and soda mixed together. Don't beat!
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
