Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean beef thinly sliced
    1/2 c. dry red wine
    2 Tbsp. peanut or vegetable oil
    2 garlic clove crushed
    1 small ginger slice or a pinch of ginger powder
    2 large green pepper sliced
    3 green onions chopped
    1/2 c. fresh mushrooms sliced
    1 6 oz. can water chestnuts sliced and drained
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Marinate beef in wine for 30 minutes or longer.
    Heat wok or heavy skillet.
    Add oil and heat thoroughly.
    Stir fry garlic and ginger until light golden brown.
    Remove beef from marinade and stir fry for 4 minutes.
    Add vegetables and continue to stir fry 3 to 4 minutes.
    Dissolve cornstarch in soy sauce.
    Add soy sauce mixture and marinade.
    Stir fry stirring constantly another minute.
    Serve over rice. Serves 4.
