Chocolate Freezer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box devil's food cake mix
    1/4 c. plain flour
    1 c. milk
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Bake cake in 2 thin layers in 9 x 13-inch pan by directions on box.
    Let cool on rack and then cut cakes in half to have 4 layers.
    Mix 1/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup flour and cook well.
    Set aside and let the mixture get cold.
    Mix butter, Crisco, sugar and vanilla.
    Beat all together well, then stir in Cool Whip.
    Put this mixture between cooled cake layers and freeze.
