Ingredients

1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream the butter.
Add sugar, vanilla and egg.
Beat until creamy.
Add dry ingredients and nuts; mix well.
Drop by 1/2 teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Place far apart; these cookies spread.
Bake in preheated oven at 400\u00b0 for about 5 minutes.
Let cool a little before removing onto waxed paper. Makes approximately 2 dozen.
