Mrs. Kuykendal'S Magic Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 stick butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. milk
    1 can pie fruit with juice
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0 and melt butter in a 9 x 11-inch baking pan. Mix flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and spices.
    Gradually add milk.
    Pour batter into pan of melted butter.
    Pour fruit and juice on top of butter and distribute evenly.
    Top with the remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
    Return pan to oven and bake about 35 to 40 minutes, until batter is brown.
    May use canned apples, peaches, berries or cherries.
    Frozen fruits are also excellent.
    Pop it in the oven and let it cook while the family eats the main course.
