Broiled Doves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 doves
    salt and pepper
    butter
    6 slices toast
Preparation
    Split the birds down the back and flatten breast.
    Wipe inside and out with damp cloth.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Put on a broiler.
    When nicely browned, pour generous amounts of melted butter over them.
    Serve on toast.
