Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced cucumbers
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Soak sliced cucumbers in salt for 4 hours.
    Drain and rinse off.
    Make mixture of the sugar, vinegar and celery seed.
    Heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Cool.
    Pour over cucumbers and refrigerate.
    Can add an onion with cucumbers for flavor, if desired. Store in glass container; keeps for weeks.
