Back-To-School Pencil Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. Gold Medal all-purpose flour
    1 can Betty Crocker Creamy Deluxe ready to spread vanilla frosting
    yellow food coloring
    red food coloring
    approximately 5 doz. miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
    approximately 5 doz. small gumdrops
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix margarine and cream cheese in a large bowl.
    Stir in sugar and vanilla.
    Stir in flour.
    Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 3-inch logs, tapering one end slightly to resemble pencil points.
    Place two inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake approximately 10 minutes or until set but not brown.
    Cool.
