Cheesy Salmon Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can pink salmon, drained
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Remove skin and bones from salmon. Flake salmon with a fork. Add egg, buttermilk, flour and Cheddar cheese, stirring well. Shape salmon mixture into 6 patties.
    (Mixture will be moist.) Pour oil to a depth of 1/8-inch into large heavy skillet. Cook patties in hot oil over medium heat 8 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
