Bing Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
    1 large can dark sweet pitted cherries
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1 c. cold Coca-Cola
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Drain cherries and measure liquid.
    Add water, if necessary, to make 1 cup liquid.
    Heat liquid and add to gelatin in a medium-sized bowl.
    When gelatin is dissolved, add Coca-Cola and juice drained from crushed pineapple.
    Chill until consistency of egg whites.
    Add halved cherries, pineapple and pecans.
    Pour into dish to congeal.
