Old-Fashion Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. flour
    dash of nutmeg
    dash of salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 stick butter
    1 c. sweet milk
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter, 3/4 cup sugar and flour.
    Add egg yolks, milk, vanilla and nutmeg.
    Blend well.
    Pour into 9-inch pie crust. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Beat egg whites; add 6 tablespoons sugar, dash of salt and cream of tartar.
    Spread on pie and bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
