Banana-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 unbeaten eggs
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and soda; set aside.
    Add sugar gradually to shortening, creaming well.
    Blend in eggs, beating well after each.
    Stir in bananas.
    Blend in sifted dry ingredients.
    Stir in nuts.
    Turn into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan, well-greased on bottom.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Cool before slicing.
