Celestial Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
    2 carrots, grated
    1 rib celery, finely chopped
    1 turnip, peeled and diced
    3 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 Tbsp. dried vegetable flakes
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    3 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, carrots, celery, turnip, onion, vegetable flakes, salt and pepper; cover with water and simmer 30 minutes. In another saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour; add a small amount of liquid from potato mixture to form a paste.
    Cool and stir in milk and sour cream.
    When vegetables are cooked, mash or puree them and add flour and milk mixture.
    Do not boil.
    Serve; sprinkle with bacon.
    Serves 6.
