Yellow Party Cake Lemon Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    dash of salt
    3/4 c. water
    2 beaten egg yolks
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Combine 3/4 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cornstarch and dash of salt in saucepan.
    Add 3/4 cup water, 2 beaten egg yolks and 3 tablespoons lemon juice.
    Cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; stir in 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel and butter or margarine.
    Cool.
