Mom'S Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. chicken parts
2 green peppers, cut up
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. dry sherry
1 tsp. dried basil
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. oil
salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Salt and pepper chicken pieces.
Roll chicken in flour and brown in oil.
In small skillet, saute green peppers and onion in a small amount of oil.
Place browned chicken in a deep covered pan.
Add tomato sauce and 16 ounces of water (just fill the empty tomato sauce cans), basil, onion, green peppers and sherry.
Baste sauce over chicken now and then.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
Serve over rice.
