Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. popcorn, popped
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. Karo syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Pop popcorn and set aside (2 cups peanuts may be added). Combine sugar, margarine, syrup and salt.
    Bring to a boil. Boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and baking soda.
    Pour over popped corn, stirring until corn is covered.
    Bake in shallow pan for 1 hour at 250\u00b0, stirring every 15 minutes.
