Vanilla Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. heavy cream
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Scald cream, all but 1/4 cup of milk and sugar in saucepan over medium heat.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup milk and add to cream mixture.
Bring to a boil until thickened (about 3 minutes). Remove and add butter, vanilla and nutmeg.
Cool slightly before serving.
