Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Kellogg's All Bran
1 c. buttermilk or soured sweet milk
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. chopped dates (optional)
1 egg
1/2 c. instant Ralston
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 c. raisins (optional)
1/2 c. drained crushed pineapple (optional)
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt, egg and shortening.
Cream; add milk, then flour, baking powder, soda, then choice of fruit.
Just blend in, don't beat, after creaming.
Fill muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
