Gravy Baked Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 pork chops (1/2 to 3/4 inch thick)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper.
    Brown meat in hot shortening.
    Pour off drippings.
    Put chops in a large baking pan. Around chops, pour mixture of soup, milk and water.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until chops are tender.
