Irish Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed (optional)
    3 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 Tbsp. baking soda
    1/4 Tbsp. salt
    3/4 box raisins
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar. Add the egg. Add measured 3 cups firmly packed flour, plus dry ingredients, alternately with milk. Add caraway seed and raisins.
    Pour into tube pan. Sprinkle sugar over top and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 5 or 10 minutes. Rub butter over the top of bread as soon as you remove from the oven.
