Fresh Butter Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. boiling water
    small piece ham hock (preferably cured ham)
    1 qt. butter beans, shelled and washed
    6 to 7 pods okra
    1 tsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Into boiling water, place ham hock and let boil 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add beans; simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
    Add okra, butter, salt and pepper.
    Continue cooking 30 minutes longer, maintaining water level.
