Corn Bread Deluxe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. yellow cornmeal (white may be used, but yellow is better)
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    2 c. boiling water
    4 egg yolks
    1/2 tsp. Schilling butter flavoring
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
    Add shortening and boiling water.
    Stir until shortening is all dissolved.
    Add beaten egg yolks and flavoring at once and beat well.
    Fold in egg whites which have been beaten stiff.
