Mincemeat Brownies - cooking recipe

1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. margarine
1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. drained prepared mincemeat
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Lightly grease an 8 x 8-inch pan.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl with an electric mixer or wooden spoon, beat margarine, brown sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Stir in mincemeat and flour mixture until well combined.
Stir in nuts.
Spread in prepared pan; bake 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool slightly and cut into squares while still warm.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
