Date And Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, cut up
    1 c. hot water
    1 1/2 c. and 2 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour hot water over soda and dates.
    Mix butter, sugar and beaten egg.
    Add flour gradually, then nuts and vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
