Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
9 oz. bag chocolate stars
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars until smooth.
Add egg, milk and vanilla to shortening mixture; blend well.
Gradually blend in dry ingredients.
Shape into balls and roll in sugar.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for eight minutes at 375\u00b0.
Take out of oven, press chocolate stars in center of cookies and bake for another 2 minutes.
