Wiener Schnitzel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 boneless veal or pork cutlets (about 4 oz. each) or 1 lb. veal round steak (1/2 inch thick)
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 egg
    2 tsp. water
    1 c. dry bread crumbs
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 lemon, cut into wedges
Preparation
    If using veal round steak, cut into 4 pieces.
    Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper; coat meat with flour mixture.
    Pound until 1/4 inch thick.
    Beat egg and water until blended.
    Dip meat into egg mixture, then coat with bread crumbs.
    Melt shortening in a large skillet; brown meat quickly.
    Reduce heat; cover and cook about 45 minutes or until tender.
    Serve with lemon wedges.
    Serves 4.
