Country-Style Doves - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 doves, breast or whole
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 medium onion, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. whole milk or canned cream
Preparation

Salt and pepper doves to taste.
Flour them and place in oiled skillet at medium heat.
Turn to brown evenly.
Remove birds and place on paper towel to drain.
Pour excess oil from pan.
Add flour to remaining drippings to make gravy and stir.
After paste begins to brown, add water to desired thickness.
Add chicken bouillon cubes to gravy.
Put doves back in gravy and top with onions.
Add milk and stir.
Cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour.
Serves 4.
