Zappels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. warm water
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients until creamy.
    Cover and let rise 1 hour. Heat oil until hot.
    Drop strings of dough into hot oil.
    Cook until light brown.
    Roll in confectioners sugar when cooled.
