No-Crust Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 peeled medium tart apples, cut in eighths
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix apple slices with 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and water in saucepan.
    Cook about 10 minutes or until apples are partially cooked.
    Turn into 9-inch pie pan.
    Cream butter; gradually cream in brown sugar.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly with spoon.
    Sprinkle over the apples.
    (Add enough flour to make a crumbly mix.)
