Better Than Store Bought Granola - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. rolled quick cooking oatmeal
    1 c. coconut
    1/3 c. sunflower seeds (optional)
    1/4 c. sesame seed (optional)
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/4 c. dark brown sugar
    1/4 c honey
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine the oats, coconut and seeds and bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
    Simmer the margarine, sugar, honey and salt over low heat.
    Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    You may stir in 1/2 cup toasted wheat germ or oat bran.
    Pour the mixture over the toasted oat mixture.
    Mix well to coat evenly.
    Raise heat to 350\u00b0.
    Return to oven 5 minutes more.
    Add 1/2 cup raisins.
    Stir and press down.
    Bake 5 more minutes or until golden.
    Remove from oven and cool.
    Break into large pieces and store in airtight container.
