Apple Charlotte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    slices of dry bread (1/4-inch thick)
    melted butter
    stewed apples, mashed and seasoned with sugar and nutmeg
    chopped almonds
Preparation
    Line a greased mold with bread slices, brushed with melted butter.
    Fill center with stewed apples and add almonds.
    Cover top with slices of bread, buttered, and bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
