Orange Sherbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. orange juice
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. plain gelatin, softened in 2 Tbsp. cold water
    2 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine sugar and water. Bring to boiling point and boil for 5 minutes. Dissolve the softened gelatin in the hot syrup. Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Pour the syrup gradually over the beaten whites, beating constantly. Add fruit juices.
    Pour into freezing tray and freeze at coldest temperature. When almost frozen, remove to chilled bowl and beat well. Return to tray and freeze until firm.
