Vidalia Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (9-inch) pie shells, baked
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 c. sour cream (generous c.)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 stick butter
    6 large Vidalia onions, sliced thinly
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    4 shakes Tabasco sauce
    1/4 c. grated cheese (for top)
Preparation
    Cook onions in butter until clear and soft (about 15 minutes), stirring often.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Mix and pour into the 2 baked pie shells.
    Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes, then lower temperature to 350\u00b0 for an additional 40 minutes until lightly browned on top.
    Yield:
    6 servings.
