Two Egg Yellow Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. cake flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. double-action baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or one 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
Into large bowl measure all ingredients; with mixer at low speed, beat until well mixed, constantly scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
Beat at medium speed 4 minutes, occasionally scraping bowl.
Pour batter into pans and bake round layers 30 to 35 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool cake in pans on wire racks 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
Makes 2 layers or 1 cake.
